MSA I 3D sound scenario recording microphone array

We will record a three-dimensional sound scenario and simulate playback of background noise using the recorded data.

MSA I is a microphone array designed to capture three-dimensional sound scenarios. The microphone array is asymmetrical. It fits the dummy head and stand of the HMS II series. The data recorded with MSA I is played back using the background noise simulation systems: 3PASS lab and 3PASS flex. Equalization is required for background noise simulation using the recording data from MSA I. This equalization procedure includes recording the impulse response and test signals with MSA I. The recorded data of the impulse response and test signals is taken into account for the equalization calculations.
